The Elysian, the newest model from U.S. brand Edison Pen Co., is unlike anything owner Brian Gray has created.

The unique curvature engineered into the cap is designed to nestle in the web of the thumb when posted. This, along with the elegantly curved section, ensures supreme ergonomic comfort. Elysian is actually shorter in length when posted. The deep posting nature of the Elysian is more than a design aesthetic; it, too, ensures perfect balance in the hand. Indeed, it is the shape of the Elysian that takes center stage, with only a cap ring as an additional accent. The cartridge/converter-filling Elysian is shown here in Jonathon Brooks Bohemian Twilight (below, capped) and in solid black acrylic (bottom, posted). It comes with Edison’s usual wide array of stainless steel nibs, either in silver tone or gold plating, depending on the trim. Whether you see in its aesthetics the Harry Potter Sorting Hat or the New Yorker Magazine mascot, the Edison Pen Co. Elysian feels heavenly in the hand.
