In the current competitive landscape, the integration of digital technologies in manufacturing and supply chain management is pivotal for operational efficiency and business growth. The webinar presented by ServiceNow and supported by Manufacturing Today delved into key aspects such as end-to-end visibility, inventory management, sustainability, digitalisation, cybersecurity, and system integration. The panel discussion also highlighted the transformative potential of platforms like ServiceNow in addressing challenges through innovative solutions and digital workflows.
Sujatha Vishnuraj, Editor, Manufacturing Today India, started the panel discussion by explaining what digital transformation is. She defined digital transformation as the implementation of new digital technologies to improve all aspects of the manufacturing process. "This transformation can be approached holistically or implemented piece by piece, with software applications and digitisation being the primary drivers." She further outlined the numerous benefits of digital transformation in the manufacturing sector such as increased operational efficiency, improved product quality and innovation, and enhanced supply chain management.
