Kikkoman's Yuzaburo Mogi, who pioneered the globalization of soy sauce 50 years ago, remains a true believer in friendship among nations.

YUZABURO MOGI, HONORARY CEO and chairman of the board of Kikkoman, traveled to Wisconsin in June to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the company's first overseas soy sauce production plant. The plant's opening in 1973 marked an important milestone in Kikkoman's growth as a company. "Launching production in Wisconsin was the start of Kikkoman's real internationalization," Mogi says. "It led to Kikkoman soy sauce being accepted as an American product made by an American corporation, which resulted in a rise in market acceptance and sales."
