Roofing, cladding and waterproofing are not concerns that you constantly need to spend on, if you get it first time right

PROOF IS IN THE ROOF

Roofing, cladding and waterproofing are essential elements to stay safe at home. Today, there are several materials available that make for attractive options for homes. Moreover, innovations are a necessity in the real estate world and developers and home builders like to evaluate their options.

ROOFING

Roofs are the most important element of any building, structurally and otherwise. While providing a sense of security and stability to a structure, they are often one of the most prominent features in a building's architectural appeal. Despite their importance, they are ironically the most overlooked aspect during design and construction, frequently resulting in mismanagement. Roofs plays a pivotal role in architecture, especially in a country as diverse as India, where designs need to adapt to a variety of climates and cultural influences. From the hot deserts of Rajasthan to the verdant landscapes of Kerala, roofing styles must cater to distinct regional requirements. Multiple factors need to be taken into consideration while deciding the nature of the roof and the materials that will go into making it. Some of the key factors are the climate, utility, energy efficiency of the home, architecture, and surroundings.

Building solutions providers Everest has launched its new product Everest Super which is a colourful fibre cement roofing sheets with heat and water resistance and non-corrosive features. This is the first time ever in India that fibre cement roofs are made available in colour. Everest Industries MD Manish Sanghi says, "Everest Super is a truly innovative product that's launched keeping in mind how colour can enhance the look of a roof and in turn the house itself. We hope that Everest Super becomes synonymous with the pride and development that reek of the rural India of today."
