Excavators are perhaps the only CE machinery that is in much demand

The Indian construction equipment industry recorded an excellent 26% growth YoY with sales crossing the one lakh unit mark in FY2022-23. CE sales in Q4 of FY23 (Jan-Mar 2023) increased by 23% over Q4-FY22 and by 22% over Q3-FY23. On a month-on-month basis, sales in March 2023 increased by 17% over February 2023. The sales of backhoe loaders and crawler excavators, accounting for over 90% of total sales of earthmoving equipment, increased by 28% and 17% respectively during the year. 

Excavators can be used to help construct buildings, bridges, roads, landscaping, dig ponds, archaeology, demolition, mining, clearing snow, site clearance and muck away jobs, build levees and other structures that help control water flow during a flood event, and clear up debris after a disaster.

Of course, the most common use for excavators is on construction projects. Excavators dig foundations, and trenches and move material and other heavy objects across the site easily. This flexibility makes excavators incredibly useful for both commercial and domestic projects.
