IMME 2022

The 16th International Mining and Machinery Exhibition (IMME 2022) was organised by CII from 16-19 November, 2022, at Eco Park Rajarhat, Kolkata. IMME 2022 had seven country pavilions, over 450 exhibitors and over 100,000 sq.m. of exhibition space.

The press meet was addressed by Shiv Siddhant Kaul, deputy chairman, CII Eastern Region, and MD, NICCO Engineering Services; Sunil Duggal, chairman, CII National Committee on Mining and Group CEO, Vedanta; RP Ritolia, co-chairman, CII Mining & Construction Equipment Division; VK Arora, past chairman, CII Mining & Construction, Equipment Division, and chief mentor, KCT Group; and Saikat Roychowdhury, regional director, Cll Eastern Region. One of the main economic sectors in India is the mining sector. It supplies many industries with essential raw materials. India ranks fifth in terms of total coal reserves and is the second-largest coal producer in the world.

Ashok Chhajer, GM-OE sales, BKT Tyres, on the products that the company displayed at IMME 2022.

Balkrishna Industries (BKT), the Indian multinational group and a leading global player in the off-highway tyre market, participated in the 16th edition of IMME 2022. The company showcased its Made in India extensive product portfolio including solutions for a vast variety of applications in the mining sector.

At that time, Rajiv Poddar, joint MD, BKT, had said, "We are all geared up with our products with the latest technology to be showcased at the event. Keeping the industry demands in mind, we have come up with more robust tyres, which will be perceived as a huge gamechanger in the mining industry.
