Delta launches new uniforms based on feedback from its employees

DELTA AIR LINES unveiled its new uniform collection in November-a project two years in the making that incorporated feedback from all 65,000 employees through focus groups, surveys and job shadowing. Designing a cohesive look that reflects the voices of that many people was no small feat. As CEO Ed Bastian said at the runway debut, "This new uniform collection has been a long time coming, but the reason it's been so long is that we wanted to make sure we got it exactly right." Delta design lead Thomas Vasseur echoed that sentiment: "The voices were consistent on everything needed. It was extremely clear, and we really needed to follow what they were saying." The unifying theme across the debut is "what's old is new again." Several classic pieces have been reimagined, and Delta's iconic colors-long part of its visual DNAare making a comeback.
