Madhya Pradesh is set to host the Invest MP Summit 2025, a landmark event aimed at positioning the state as a key industrial and investment destination on the global stage. In this exclusive interview, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, shares insights into the state's ambitious plans, highlighting how investment proposals worth over ₹3.84 lakh crore, expected to create 3.70 lakh jobs, are driving Madhya Pradesh's economic transformation.
How do you envision Madhya Pradesh contributing significantly to India's industrial and economic transformation through the Invest MP Summit 2025?
The Invest MP Summit 2025 is a historic opportunity for Madhya Pradesh, providing a platform to establish the state as a major industrial and investment hub at the national and global levels. By declaring the year 2025 as the “Year of Industry and Employment,” we have made solid efforts to attract investments and create employment. This summit is not only a key step for the state but also an important milestone in India's journey to become a 5 trillion-dollar economy.
Madhya Pradesh is advancing rapidly with its strategic location, abundant natural resources, and strong policy framework. Through Regional Industry Conclaves held in Ujjain, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Sagar, Rewa and Narmadapuram, investment proposals worth over ₹2.05 lakh crore have been received, which are expected to create over 2.43 lakh jobs. Additionally, interactive sessions at the national level held between July and September 2024 in major cities like Mumbai, Coimbatore, Bengaluru and Kolkata have garnered investment proposals worth over ₹1 lakh crore. International sessions in the UK and Germany held in November 2024 have resulted in investment proposals worth ₹60,000 crore and ₹17,400 crore, respectively.
