Arjun Bhatia, CMO, Matrimony.com, believes that maintaining a brand's stance amid debate demands clarity and coordination. Referring to initiatives around empowerment and safety, he says that these spark discussions but reinforce the company's values. Transparent, well-intentioned communication, he adds, helps brands manage perception while creating awareness and trust.

For him, purpose-led marketing, when done right, merges ethics and engagement, and elevates brand equity. “Addressing sensitive topics necessitates foresight, audience understanding, and clear messaging,” Bhatia states.
