On August 20, 2025, the India International Centre, New Delhi, hosted a gathering of hope and resolve as the Global Peace Foundation India (GPF India) and the Acid Survivors & Women Welfare Foundation (ASWWF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

Leaders, activists, and changemakers came together to support acid attack survivors with a shared commitment to restore dignity, rebuild lives, and promote values-based living.
Dr. Rahul Varma opened the event, stressing the need to move beyond token projects to a nationwide movement for comprehensive rehabilitation— physical, psychological, and financial. Sharing the inspiring journey of a colleague and acid attack survivor, he urged participants to become ambassadors for change.
