Visitors entering the house are immediately immersed in the warmth of rattan, panelled cabinets, and handcrafted furniture pieces that are light and breathable, perfect for Chennai's tropical environment.
The home's palette is based on this interplay of opposites. The design features natural tones that complement polished concrete and limewashed walls. Ceramics, pottery, and indoor plants add texture and liveliness to the area. The use of woven linens, wood, and handcrafted items creates a calm and visually rich environment that reflects a modern sensibility with artisanal roots.
