GARMIN QUATIX 7 PRO
Yachting World
|November 2025
It was a personal low point when I realised I was heading to a Laser race with an egg timer to use as my only stopwatch.
A new watch beckoned, but was I ready for the information overload of a smartwatch? I was to surprise myself. Using the Quatix 7 Pro for a year now has proven to be a revelation. It's like going from black and white days to full technicolour (illuminating even, as it even has a torch setting). I've come to really appreciate the wealth of information it provides, particularly from a watersports, health and fitness side, yet I've still barely scratched the surface. Speaking of which, the scratch-resistant lens and titanium bezel have also proven seriously rugged!

AIRBANK PULSE PRO
Surely this is a gimmick, I presumed? After all, manually pumping up the dinghy, paddleboards or wingfoil is good exercise, isn't it? Oh, how wrong I was! For someone who regularly inflates various kit, multiple times a week, I can't think of another product that has countered my preconceptions as much as this battery-powered rechargeable pump.
