The Volkswagen Tiguan is back - in a sportier R-Line avatar!

The Tiguan R-Line has landed on our shores! This new generation version of Volkswagen's global best-seller boasts an all-new design which helps the SUV look sportier and more alluring than ever before. With looks to kill, this new Tiguan is on sale in India only in the R-Line trim, with sporty 'R' themed details. The new design isn't just about stunning looks though, as the curvier design enables the Tiguan R-Line to have an amazingly low drag coefficient of just 0.28. Like the outgoing version, the Tiguan R-Line is a five-seater SUV, underlining its performance-oriented persona further.

Under the hood is an updated version of Volkswagen's tried and tested 2.0-litre TSI engine, which puts out a higher 204PS now, an improvement of 14PS over the outgoing version. The power is sent to the wheels via Volkswagen's 7-speed DSG and renowned 4MOTION all-wheel drive system. And 4MOTION along with the Tiguan R-Line's 176mm ground clearance means almost no road is beyond reach for this premium SUV.
