The 2025 SIAM convention focused on the challenges of sustainability
The 65th SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) annual convention was held in New Delhi yet again, where the core focus of the yearly gathering revolved around sustainable mobility for advancing India into the future. Just as in 2024, this year's convention also featured addresses by several key dignitaries from the Government and the automotive industry alike, who stressed upon sustainable mobility, software-defined vehicles and changing global dynamics. Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a written address, in which the leader emphasised the importance of self-reliance in the Indian automotive manufacturing value chain, India's ambition to become global leader in green and smart mobility, and urged manufacturers to work with the Government for a more robust future.
