ISLE BE BACK
Practical Motorhome
|September 2025
As an island nation, we can never resist touring our glorious coastline! Here's our pick of some of the finest islands across the British Isles, and how to reach them
JERSEY, Channel Islands
WHY GO?
Wonderful coves and beaches, pretty villages and sports such as surfing, cycling, hiking and golf are just some of the reasons to visit the largest of the Channel Islands. Only 14 miles from France, a world-famous zoo (durrell.org/visit-jersey-zoo), a great TV detective and many historical attractions make this a superb touring destination.
HOW TO GET THERE
Condor Ferries has Poole to Jersey trips via Guernsey (4.5 hours). Alternatively, there are ferry sailings from Portsmouth (10 hours).
