As an aerodynamicist at Porsche, Francesca Cogotti is literally shaping the German automaker's future.
A 186-MPH WIND TUNNEL is Francesca Cogotti's office. As an aerodynamicist at Porsche's Development Center in Weissach, Germany, Cogotti examines the relationship between the automaker's vehicles and the air these machines must move through. Most recently, she worked on the aerodynamic overhaul of the 2025 Taycan. Her work on one of the model's revised 21-inch wheel and tire packages alone improved the electric sedan's range by about 20 miles. Those efforts, together with 16 percent more battery capacity, net the 2025 Taycan an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 318 miles an increase of 72 miles over the 2024 Taycan with the longest range.
