Valley of Screams

The Valley Run 2024 Winter Edition was essentially "carvana" with a bunch of cool speed demons being let loose coupled with cool drifts
THERE ARE MANY WAYS one can brag about what makes one car special as compared to another in terms of performance. Some might veer towards how their car is able to take on corners, which could also include pitting them against each other on a racetrack, while others might go for factors like braking stability or ride quality or even fuel efficiency. Well, the simplest and arguably the most popular bragging right available is how a car stacks up on horsepower numbers and how it stacks up in a straight-line sprint against the competition; in short, a drag race.
The problem with drag races, which are traditionally conducted by being the quickest to do a quarter-mile sprint, is the fact that there aren't a lot of open quarter-mile stretches available on public roads. The other is the massive risk of safety on public roads that can facilitate an open quarter-mile drag race.
Well, the Valley Run is one such solution in our country to that problem as, for 12 editions, it has been the place for the drag racing community to let their beasts loose for the opportunity to take bragging rights on who's the quickest to complete a quarter mile. This story is from the December 2024 edition of Car India.
