If the definition of sailing is standing under a shower tearing up tenners, then surely owning a classic car is standing under an inspection ramp doing likewise. Just ask Peter Foot. He has recently spent a small fortune on his 1990 H-reg Porsche 944 cabriolet. "I've just had all the fuel lines changed to cope with E10 and E5 fuel, for around £2000," he says. "Also, it has a power roof, and you are supposed to oil the cables regularly.
