The Mercedes-AMG E 53 4Matic+ Cabriolet. This has to be the most confusing AMG on sale in India right now. It’s based on the E-Class, but the proportions would lead one to believe that it’s underpinned by the C-Class platform. It’s a saloon car with four seats and a second row that doesn’t need a hack saw and a field amputation kit. It is also an AMG with 425bhp, all-wheel drive and a weaponised hybrid. With so much going for it, the question remains, is the E 53 Cabriolet, a jack of all trades or a master of one?
