A petrolhead's vacation in Dubai

While the highlight of my visit to Dubai for the Department of Economy and Tourism’s familiarisation trip was the visit to the Dubai Autodrome and driving hot laps on the track behind the wheel of a BMW M240i, the trip actually had many other activities which one can engage in if they aren’t as petrol-headed as yours truly. Now while the desert serves as the primary ‘fun’ destination if you’re thinking of any kind of adventure sports with dune bashing and quads, the city is also surrounded on one side by the Arabian sea and if you do head to the marina, hours can be spent appreciating the beauty of the massive yachts that are moored here. We however headed to the marina to drive a car, strange right?
