|February 2025
The Components Show at Bharat Mobility Global Expo showcased advanced e-mobility offerings, writes Richa Tyagi.

As the world embraces sustainable transportation, the automotive industry is undergoing a quiet yet profound transformation. By 2030, the global EV market is expected to reach USD 980 billion, with India poised to drive 30 per cent of the demand for EV components. At the Components Show, Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, innovations such as Battery Thermal Management Systems and magnet-less motors took centre stage.
Localisation and innovation Böllhoff, a German multinational corporation operating in India, showcased a range of advanced technological products at the event. Aligning with its ‘Think Global, Act Local,’ approach the company has been focusing on localising its products to cater to the Indian market. Technologies such as AMTEC and HELICOIL have already been localised in India, and in 2025, the company added RIVQUICK to its list of localised technologies in the country. “We are investing significantly in India, leveraging our global expertise in design, reluctance, testing, and validation. Here, we are replicating the same machines, tooling, and materials used globally. By mid-2025, we will be fully equipped to serve our customers locally from India. Several of our customers have already visited our facilities,” shared Shiv Kumar, Managing Director of Böllhoff Fastenings Pvt. Ltd. The company also displayed its semi-automated machines for HELICOIL products. Additionally, Kumar shared that the company is well-prepared for the EV revolution, showcasing joining solutions for electrified vehicles such as tolerance compensation, high-speed joining, thread reinforcement, adhesive bonding, thread creating, sealing technology, and riveting technology tailored for EVs. These solutions are already being supplied to Indian OEMs.
