Delsart does the double
Horse & Hound
|November 06, 2025
DAN DELSART landed a double of victories, taking the Blue Chip Dynamic B&C qualifier with Layla Van Het Bildeken Z and the Blue Chip Joint Care Power with Jagaditha.
-
Seven-year-old Layla, who produced the fastest of four double clears, is owned by Ellen Schmidt, who bought her in Belgium as a three-year-old.
“She only joined us at the end of March, as she'd had some embryos taken in Belgium, and she has a few foals on the floor," Dan said. “She was a bit nursed in Belgium and didn’t do too much, but now she’s seven she is stepping up a bit.
“She was unlucky in the Aintree young horse show seven-year-old grand prix recently, where she had the fastest time but had a pole, and she has been good this year - we've jumped some 1.40m classes in France.
