They could be dangerous too.

Energy drinks are easily available in super-markets and the well-known brands are Red Bull, Rockstar, Monster and Full Throttle. The purpose of these drinks is the burst of energy, but what is in an energy drink. The main ingredient is caffeine which is a stimulant and it also has herbs, amino acids, vitamins and lots of sugar. Energy drinks are nonalcoholic and it is the sugar a combination of sucrose and glucose that helps in stimulating energy and the caffeine content leads to increased tolerance and dependency.
It is proven that individuals can get addicted to energy drinks, according to the Journal of the American Medical Association around 34 to 51 per cent of young adults consume energy drinks. It happens with consumption of 100 mg of caffeine in a day and this is equivalent to drinking 12 ounces of Red Bull. Once a person is accustomed to having an energy drink everyday feeling the enjoyment of energy it gives, a tolerance is developed. With increased resilience, individuals aren’t satisfied with the needed amount of energy drink in a day; they want more of the energy boost, to just feel mentally alert enabling sustained long working hours.
