Julia’s close friendship with hunky Denzel has her husband worried

When Julia Roberts laid eyes on the script for the blockbuster drama Leave The World Behind, she instantly knew she’d need the ultimate leading man – and only her close friend Denzel Washington would do.

“Julia and Denzel share a long and very interesting past,” says an industry insider.

“She can’t wait to team up with him again, and she’ll tell anyone it’s been 27 long years since they did The Pelican Brief together, so they absolutely can’t wait to get started.”

One person who’s rapidly losing patience with Julia’s constant chatter about how “talented, funny and handsome” Denzel is even after all these years is her husband of 18 years, Danny Moder, 51.

“It was recently their wedding anniversary [July 4] and Julia spent it talking about this new project,” says a source.

“Danny can’t help but feel anxious and more than a little nervous that Julia will be working with this so-called dream man, who means so much to Julia, for months on a movie set.
