Phillip Schofield moved up from CBBC’s ‘broom cupboard’ to enjoy one of TV’s most glittering careers.

The silver fox, who made his name alongside sidekick Gordon the Gopher, is often dubbed the king of daytime telly, thanks to his chemistry with Holly Willoughby on This Morning. But with rumblings of change at ITV, amid pressure to bring in new faces, could Phil’s seat of power be in question?

Indeed, the last few years of his reign have arguably been overshadowed by controversy over reported feuds with both Amanda Holden and former This Morning regular Ruth Langsford.
