Nosy neighbours. We’ve always had them, but under lurgy lockdown, curtain-twitching has become more endemic than coronavirus itself.

It’s shocking just how quickly some people have taken huge delight in becoming supergrasses who can’t wait to have the man down the street arrested for walking his dog.

The former East German secret police have nothing on today’s Stasi snitches. Forget the fact we’re actually allowed out of our homes for exercise and essential medical/food trips, these vile people seem to relish the fact we should all be imprisoned. And it’s obviously their job to make sure we are.

Witness the poor NHS nurse who had a note stuck on her windscreen saying she was a ‘disgrace’ for leaving her home every day and had been ‘reported’.
