Staying friends with an ex shouldn’t be an issue. I’m still friends with the man I dated for three years from the ages of 18 to 21. After spending the majority of our relationship apart at different universities, we knew it was time to call it a day in 1995. Ending things was our best chance at salvaging a friendship.
