Harry and Meghan DIVIDED

Blood is thicker than water, and no matter how hard he may try, Harry will always feel differently about his family than Meghan does, writes royal expert Duncan Larcombe

Harry and Meghan DIVIDED

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are fundamentally divided when it comes to how their self-imposed life in exile will have impacted those they left behind.

Meghan’s father Thomas Markle is reported to be in ill health and yet her half-sister Samantha insists the duchess has made no attempt to get in touch.

The fear of losing her dad – it would appear – has not yet been enough to help heal the painful rift between them.

Harry’s continuing war with William holds a great deal more at stake.

The way the couple have made millions cashing in on their royal status since opting for a ‘quieter life’ in America continues to solidify the division with the family.

Not only has he upped sticks and decided to live abroad, in so doing he has given up everything he once seemed to hold dear.

The Jubilee proved Harry’s apparently rushed decision to quit royal life does exactly what it says on the tin – he has left and there’s currently no chance of him coming back.

Her Majesty has never resorted to making statements or doing interviews to vent her frustration at the nature of their departure.
