Kevin dines out on the story of his breakfast dates with the pageant beauty
I finally got to watch the 2020 movie Misbehaviour this week. It’s about the 1970 Miss World pageant invaded by Women’s Liberation activists. Their aim was to interrupt the ceremony being broadcast live worldwide. The woman crowned winner that night was Grenada’s Jennifer Hosten, the first woman of colour to become Miss World. Jennifer went on to a remarkable life as a businesswoman and Canadian diplomat. The movie was partly based on her autobiography.
