Dolly Parton was just 18 years old when she met her husband Carl Dean. Two years later, in 1966, the pair tied the knot, but despite Dolly’s stratospheric career, her other half has remained nothing but a shadowy figure. Just a handful of photographs have ever surfaced of the pair – she, a Grammy award-winning superstar, he, a businessman – throughout their long marriage.
One, however, appeared recently when the Jolene singer revealed her rather unusual gift to Carl for his 79th birthday.
