Macbook Pro 14-Inch 2023

Apple has effectively killed the 13-inch version of the MacBook Pro, with this 14-incher now the base standard.

Though there's nothing especially fresh or exciting about the design this time - beyond a new Space Black finish on some models - Apple has seen fit to offer the newly embiggened MacBook Pro its brand-new Apple Silicon processor, the M3. This is good if you like power, and there's plenty more of that on board to make creative work fly, but do be aware that only versions sporting M3 Pro and M3 Max chips can drive two monitors at a time so you'll be on the hook for an extra spend if you're a true creative desktop type. Also note that, because it's baked into the chip, a RAM upgrade from the bog-standard 8GB requires an M3 Pro (18GB) or Max (36GB).
