Meet the statement watches that demand attention. It’s time to stand out with incredible design-led timepieces that don’t break the bank

PICTO WATCHES 40MM MUSTARD
YELLOW As striking as it is simple, the Picto watch tells the time by rotating both its face and a single hand. A white dot on the face indicates the hour, while the hand sweeps around once an hour, thus indicating minutes. Such a face might take some getting used to, but we think it looks great - especially in the unusual mustard and white colour combo shown here with Picto’s ‘thunder grey’ silicone strap. The polished steel case is 40mm in diameter, accepts 20mm straps, and houses a Miyota 2025 quartz movement. Also available with white or grey dials, and a 30mm case. pictowatches.com
ARNE JACOBSEN BANKERS
This striking timepiece by Arne Jacobsen is all about the details. Just look at the hour markers; each is made of 12 empty squares with one filled in to denote the number. Arguably pointless for anyone who can read the time, but a lovely piece of clean Danish design with character, as is the red centre point. Powered by a Miyota GL26 quartz movement, the watch is offered with four different stainless steel case size options ranging from a compact 30mm to a huge 16mm, with leather strap sizes varying accordingly. The Bankers has a concave dial and convex M2 glass front, and is water-resistant to 3 ATM. It's also available as wall or bedside clocks. arnejacobsenwatches.com
