Though there’s no doubt that it was the M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook Pro models that were the stars of the show at Apple’s Unleashed event this October, an added benefit was the launch of the third-generation AirPods, bolstering the world’s most popular in-ear headphones and offering some Pro features we’ve come to love at a friendlier price tag.

Speaking at this year’s Unleashed event, which saw Apple show off new MacBook Pro models and HomePod minis alongside the new AirPods, Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said that the in-ears had “forever changed wireless headphones with their groundbreaking design, incredible sound, and magical experience. We are excited to introduce the next generation of AirPods,” he added, before introducing the new product, offering next-level sound through Adaptive EQ and spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, which make the world’s most popular headphones even better.
