A player in our group becomes very agitated when someone returns an out serve to him. Is that against the rules?

The Code is derived from “the unwritten rules of tennis,” and Item 28 addresses this issue, stating that, “a player shall not put into play or hit over the net an obvious fault. To do so constitutes rudeness and may even be a form of gamesmanship.” While there’s no immediate enforcement procedure, if your opponent asks you to not return serves that were obviously out, you should honor the request.
