After week six of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, the eliminated Delhi Capitals (DC) were at the bottom of the points table with eight points. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), who were subsequently eliminated, also had eight points. Three teams - Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Punjab Kings (PBKS) - were on 10 points each. Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were fourth and fifth, with 12 and 11 points respectively. Looking at the top half, defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) remained on the top with 16 points from 12 matches. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were second with 15 points from 12 games, while Mumbai Indians (MI) had entered the top three, with 14 points from 12 matches.
