India’s batting greatly struggled in both South Africa and England with only one man standing up- Virat Kohli...

India’s grueling test tour down under will commence from December 6 in Adelaide. It is going to be a blockbuster series as such is the fierce rivalry between India and Australia. The last time both these teams met in the whites, it was a spectacle to behold for the fans, last year. India won the series 2-1 but till the last Test, you couldn’t guess the winner. Australia punched above its weight in difficult Indian conditions. Now, the Indian team is in Australia for Tests for the first time since 2014. Generally, the hosts are the favourites but just like 2017 Test series in India, Australia will need to punch above its weight if they have to beat a team like India, especially in absence of their batting pillars, David Warner and Steven Smith. Today, let’s take a look at Seven Players to Watch Out For in The 2018 Australia-India Test series:
VIRAT KOHLI
Australia’s batting might be weak but they have some real quality in bowlers like Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon. India’s batting greatly struggled in both South Africa and England with only one man standing up- Virat Kohli. And again this series and especially Indian batting would revolve around this modern-day maestro. Kohli is a run-machine. He makes hundreds for fun. Australian public doesn’t like him much. India has never won a Test series in Australia. All these things will pump up Virat to conquer the land no other Indian captain has and that is to lead India to a Test series win down under. His batting will be significant in the context of the series.
