The 2023 IPL auction will take place in Kochi on December 23. Unlike the previous season's megaauction in February, the BCCI will conduct a miniauction for the forthcoming season. Ahead of the auction, all ten franchises released a list of players they retained and released from the squad. A total of 85 players were released ahead of the auctions, and some of the big names include Mayank Agarwal, Kane Williamson, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, and Pat Cummins.
