Former Celt, Bobby Petta, is now enjoying life as a DJ and was spinning some discs at the Celtic FC Festival

- Tony Connelly

Hit That Perfect Beat

BOBBY Petta joined Celtic under the John Barnes/Kenny Dalglish managerial team at the start of the 1999/2000 season. It was slow start for the Dutchman in his first season at Paradise as he fought for a place in the Hoops side, but a changing of the landscape opened up the opportunity for Petta to weigh in with the contributions he so eagerly wanted to make.

Martin O’Neill’s first season at Celtic was an incredible year for the club and the Irishman got the best out of his players, including Petta who gave Hoops fans some cherished moments of brilliance as Celtic stormed their way to a historic domestic treble.

He has gone on to have a varied and interesting career both within and outwith the game, and at the recent Celtic FC Festival, held at the Glasgow SEC, the Celtic View caught up with the former Hoops winger to discover what he’s up to now…

YOU’VE BEEN LIVING LIFE AS A DJ RECENTLY, SO HOW DID THAT COME ABOUT?
