Over 25,000 fans turn out for successful Celtic FC Festival

Glasgow Is Green And White

OVER 25,000 Celtic fans flocked to the SEC in Glasgow at the weekend for the first ever Celtic FC Festival, a unique occasion that has Celtic leading the way again in European football by staging such an event.

The three-day Celtic extravaganza, in association with Magners, was opened by manager Neil Lennon on Friday morning and drew to a close on Sunday following three sold-out days.

Hoops fans were given the opportunity to meet 22 of the current first-team players as well as the manager and 20 Celtic legends.

On Friday, there was the official unveiling of the 2019/20 New Balance third kit, as captain Scott Brown and several of his team-mates modelled the new strip in front of a packed stage.

Danny McGrain, Tom Boyd, Jackie McNamara, Murdo MacLeod and Tommy Johnson were all guests on the Celtic View stage, while they were also popular figures at the selfie zones dotted throughout the festival.
