Inevitably, Chris Froome barely had time to reflect on becoming the third rider to win the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España in the same season, and the first to do so in that order, before he was being asked what comes next on his list of objectives. One of the first questions asked when he had been whisked down from the Alto de l’Angliru’s summit for the race winner’s press conference was whether he would now turn his attention to the Giro-Tour double.
