Riders from the pro race scramble around the course in Birmingham in a desperate and futile pursuit of eventual winner Roland Liboton of Belgium. At the bottom of the hill is, we believe, Frenchman Marc Madiot (blue jersey, no hat) who would go on to become the current manager of the GroupamaFDJ WorldTour team. He finished 21st that day.
