Crowdfunding Saves Paris-Roubaix Juniors

Former British champions hail Hell of the North’s significance.

The junior edition of Paris-Roubaix has been saved after a crowdfunding effort started by former winner John Degenkolb (Trek-Segafredo) burst through its target in under 24 hours.
The campaign had raised just under €15,000 at the time of going to press, well over its €10,000 goal to save the race, which is run on the morning of the pro men’s race.
The race’s fate will be of particular interest to British riders who have found it a happy hunting ground, winning four editions in the last 15 years, including Geraint Thomas and, most recently, Lewis Askey in 2018.
