Marcus was set up with the American model of the Canon 500D Rebel XS, with a 50mm portrait lens and the only professional telephoto lens they had, to get wide angle, as well as high quality portrait shots from a distance. Samantha had in hand, their new Canon 5D Mark I; a very good camera for cinematic-inspired photography. On this camera body was an 85mm lens that we found is great for fashion imagery. With use of a strong 120-LED professional photography lamp, we were able to shoot, not only with models facing toward the light but within shadowed areas, to gain more atmosphere.
