How To Film Automobiles Like A Pro

1. Don't always rely on gimbal

Gimbal shots with incredibly smooth movement offer a really lovely vibe to your automobile movie, but don't overdo them. Make those gimbal shots stand out by not employing them in every shot. Getting some really good handheld camera movements of the automobile you're recording can add some intrigue to your images and make it feel a little more cinematic because there will be some natural camera shaking if you're using handed motions.

You might also obtain some beautiful automobile photos with only a tripod. When it comes to car cinematography, the tripod is one of the most underutilised equipment. Another thing to remember is that not every photo requires camera movement.

You should rely on your topic to provide movement. Set your camera on a tripod or even on the ground and allow the automobile enter the image, providing movement, so that when it comes time to conduct your gimbal movements, those shots are a little more spectacular. You're giving your viewers something to anticipate or marvel at.

2. Change your shot

This may seem obvious, but when recording autos, vary your focus lengths. We sometimes prefer to start with a wide view of the automobile. This assists in establishing a setting, followed by a medium or close-up shot that provides the bait to the audience. This will make your automobile cinematics active and exciting, keeping the audience interested. Again, establishing location in a vehicle film is critical because the video isn't only about the automobile. You want to view the scenery and the intriguing spots that this automobile is passing through.
