CCTV Fi rm Claims To Have Installed Devices

Lookman Electroplast Industries Ltd. has claimed that it installed closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras at 38 of the 40 junctions proposed in the city and had even held a live demonstration for police ocials.

The Chennai police had recently registered an FIR against the company, accus ing it of not installing CCTVs despite being paid 2.69 crore between April and December 2011. The company was mandated to install the CCTV cameras in 12 weeks.
