The Big Fight…To File Nominations

Kejriwal reached the New Delhi returning officer’s office at the Jamnagar House in central Delhi around 12.15 pm, accompanied by his family, including parents, and party leaders Pankaj Gupta and Gopal Mohan.

“Waiting to file my nomination. My token no is 45. There are many people here to file nomination papers. I am so glad so many people participating in democracy,” the CM tweeted at 2.36 pm.

Nomination process started around 6.15 pm and Kejriwal left the RO office at 6:45 pm.

AAP spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj said around 35 candidates were sitting at RO office with the CM, “without proper nomination papers, without even 10 proposers. They are calling their proposers on phone to come,” he said in a tweet.

Bharadwaj tweeted that “They r(sic) insisting unless their papers r complete and they file Nomination, they won't allow CM to file Nomination”.

Congress candidate from New Delhi Romesh Sabharwal also said he was waiting for his turn and that his token no is 61.
