Sinn Fein leader: Families owning their home should be achievable
You should be able to buy your own home if that is your hope.
As Taoiseach, making homeownership affordable again for those on average incomes would be one of my main goals.
After the decades of damage done to our housing system by bad policies, you deserve support from the State that allows you to purchase a house at an affordable price with confidence and security for the future.
Fianna Fail’s developers scheme does nothing to make housing affordable.
In fact, it will do the exact opposite. It will push prices up and keep a whole generation locked out of homeownership. It is not about you or your family’s future. It has been written by developers for developers.
That is why Sinn Fein brought a motion before the Dail last week to scrap it.
