-

SPOOKED ordinary Russians dashed to withdraw cash from ATMs yesterday as a wave of Western sanctions over Ukraine began to bite.

People were left fearing their bank cards may stop working or that limits will be placed on withdrawals.
In a possible sign that he is rattled, president Vladimir Putin banned Russians from depositing cash in foreign bank accounts, in a move that could hit the rich especially hard.
