CRAIG HAMPSON says Ealing Trailfinders go into the Championship with “no fear” as they set out to try and upset the odds and beat Saracens to promotion to the Premiership.

Home-and-away victories over title favorites Saracens in the pre-season Trailfinders Cup have put everyone in Vallis Way in a buoyant mood ahead of the league opener away to Nottingham today (see p29 for match preview).
“We’ve released some squad players and brought in players who are potentially pushing for starting positions,” said former Wasps and Leeds scrum-half Craig Hampson. “That has strengthened us right across the board.
“We’ve got some good experience in, whereas last year it was a fairly young team, and we’ve added a few Saffers to the party.
