Confidence Boost For Bath Ahead Of Europe
The Rugby Paper
|January 07, 2018
BATH move into next week’s European crunch game with Scarlets in good spirits after a six try demolition of Worcester.
After three consecutive Premiership defeats, Bath’s morale was boosted ahead of Friday’s match at the Rec, which will go a long away to deciding the winner of Pool 5.
Bath, having already beaten Scarlets away, are joint top with Toulon, with Scarlets just one point behind with two fixtures remaining.
Bath’s director of rugby, Todd Blackadder, said: “It’s a real challenge as we did a lot of homework on Scarlets to win down there. They are a quality side and will come out firing as there is a lot to play for.
“It’s a relief we won tonight, for if we hadn’t there would have been a lot of pressure going into Europe as we would have to deal with the challenges of that competition and then be without a number of key players during the Six Nations period.”
